One of the most highly anticipated openings of 2023, DaNico at College and Bathurst is a stunner. The swanky restaurant is set in a heritage building and will make your jaw drop when you first walk in.

Designed by Liberty Entertainment Group's Nadia Di Donato, the space hosts an impressive wine cellar displaying international treasures, stretching 30 feet into the air. There are cozy velvet booths, marble counters, Salvador Dalí art, Versace ceramics and sultry dark-wood finishes. DaNico was just shortlisted for best restaurant design awards, both in the Americas and globally. It's not just a pretty picture, though.

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Toronto, DaNico is helmed by Michelin-recognized chef-partner Daniele Corona (Don Alfonso 1890). Corona's dishes here skew Italian, inspired by his time on the Amalfi coast. We'll just come right out and say it; we'll be surprised if DaNico doesn't land on Toronto's 2024 Michelin Guide. Each course is a one-two-punch of bold, creative presentation and layered flavours — and the best way to savour them is with Corona's signature tasting menu.

That's exactly what one lucky winner and their guest will get to experience on an upcoming evening of their choosing, dependant on the restaurant's availability. Valued at $450 ($225 per person), the tasting menu promises to be a culinary adventure, spanning seven phenomenal courses.

To start, freshly baked artisan bread and canapés will pique your appetite. Then, Corona's penchant for flair and flavour mastery takes off with breathtaking plates like fresh black Italian truffle spaghettoni, miso-deglazed steamed black cod, charcoal-grilled wagyu and more. Your choice of dessert is the goodnight kiss to the whirlwind of masterfully crafted dishes you've just savoured.

In the prize, your entire tasting menu experience is included — you'll just need to cover any alcohol and gratuities. If you're looking to truly enjoy your meal to the fullest, opt for the sommelier-led wine pairing and sip fine vintages from Italy, France and Germany.
