Win a Home Hardware shopping spree
What do you like or dislike about the Canadian Homes and Cottages website or magazine? Submit your answer in a short essay for a chance to win 1 of 2 $5000 Home Hardware shopping sprees. I’ve never even seen the magazine and never been to the website. Looks like I’ll have to be ‘creative’ with my answer. Good Luck!

OK…so to enter this contest you have to summit a essay of 250 WORDS or more, so to help you all out, I am posting what I wrote to them. Feel free to use what you will from my submission as it is a random draw to determine the winner and has nothing to do with the content of the essay. (although I’m guessing typing “Canadian Homes and Cottages magazine is great” 38 times might not qualify you.
I love reading Canadian Homes and Cottages whenever I can pick it up at the book store. I don’t subscribe, but I’m thinking about it, as the (about) $5 a copy cover price for picking it up on the shelf is a little steep, but getting it delivered at about $3 a copy, would be more reasonable. I wish the magazine came out more than only 6 times a year. However, (back to what I like) I find your question and answer pages very informative and of a timely nature. I like how you always have very detailed high gloss colored pictures to go with the well written articles telling us how to make our homes and cottages even more beautiful than they already are. And getting professional advice in your magazine is certainly much cheaper that calling in the experts myself. I routinely check out the advertisements from your supporters for good ideas and deals. I know the items they sell will be high quality products that your experts use themselves. I wish that the pages where numbered a bit more clearly because when I look at you index page and it says “How to increase your homes curb appeal for under $100†on page 62 (for example) and I try to flip to that page, ultimately I will find page 47 numbered then no numbers until page 68 or something. If you numbered the pages with the full page ads on them, it would be a lot easier to find your great articles. I find Canadian Homes and Cottages to be a great resource for those who like to keep their homes and cottages looking there best. Good job on creating a great magazine.
