On a warm night in July 1988 my infant son cried to be fed. I jumped out of bed and took him into the family room where I proceeded to turn on a light and the radio. Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” was playing. He and I listened to the entire song while he fed. To my surprize, my baby boy did not fall asleep afterwards and we were both awake for hours. After this night I never turned on a light or the radio while he fed at night. But everytime I hear Fast Car my heart skips a beat.
I love anything by queen, bohemian rhapsody, bicycle race.
