Do you like contests? Do you like Canada? Do you like working very short days? Do you hate changing out of your pajamas? Then here’s the perfect opportunity for you!

We need some help posting contests on this site. We’re looking for someone to work just one hour per day (7 days a week) to start. This may increase as time goes on, but we’ll start with just an hour. We will provide contests to you that you review in your web browser, fill in the details, and publish to our site along with some pithy comments.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
– a genuine contest enthusiast
– great web browsing skills, including things like using tabbed browsing, installing plugins, etc.
– ability to work with basic html code (hyperlinks, image links, etc.)
– a good sense of humor

What’s the pay rate? Think minimum wage … in Armenia. Well, it’s not that bad. We can offer $5/hr to start. Surprisingly, hosting a free contest site has not made us millionaires, so we’re just trying not to lose money. But think of this: your commute couldn’t be quicker!

If you’re interested, drop me a line at info@contestcanada.net
A resume would be great, or just tell us a bit about yourself and what you’d bring to the job. If you have any experience with html, web site forums and forum moderation, creating website content, or working with content management systems that’s a definite bonus so let us know.

I would like to do this , it is fun, would you be excluded from the contests? And I also hope that you would train. What kind of pay will be provided? What kind of computer experience are you requiring? I am ok but still learning. I also have a friend that would be great for this. Her name is Janice Ball j.ball@bmts.com
She truly loves contests and has got me going on them. Thank-you for the opportunity.

    Hi there!

I just found this website but it sounds like a blast to be able to help out with something like this!!
Being a stay at home mom of four great kids, I have quite a bit of time on the computer when the kids are in school and I love entering contests.
I have done some moderating on message boards before (StorkNet.com) and I spend time at a couple of other terrific message boards where I really enjoy chatting with the other posters.
If I can help you out at all, let me know! I’d love to put in some time here.
    Thanks,

    Heather

I would love to be involved with the site. I do have my share of experience with browsing but still have lots to learn. I’m able and willing to do just that. I love contests (participating in lots of them) and have a good sense of humor (so my friends telling me). I do think that I’d be a good addition to your team.
    Thanks, Csilla

I enjoy winning contests but now that I live in Quebec, being excluded from more than 50 percent of the contests is a big downer. This job might increase my chances of winning maybe??

thanks for the comments folks. We’ll make a decision soon during a live 2-hour finale in front of a studio audience (oh wait, that’s The Apprentice). If you want to respond privately (rather than here, publicly), drop me a line at info@contestcanada.net

    Hey there,

I am a big contest entering kinda person. I spend a few hours a day entering contests and love to seek out and find new ones. Being paid to do something I am currently already doing would be a great offer!
I work 9-5 days during the week and on Saturdays I work with a l’il 6 year old autistic kiddo, but I can definitely commit an hour or so a night!
I have been ‘forum’ing for many years and I am familiar with pretty much every aspect. I work on a computer all day educating people about blackberrys (I work in the RIM call centre) and I am good to go with troubleshooting any kind of computer situation that pops up.
Uhm… if chosen for this position I vow to bring the contests to the masses, joy to the young, fun to the old, and to help save the world. (The best Ms. America I could muster!)
All the best .. and GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

    Jay

PS – Did I mention I can tap dance?
