Contest sites are a bit boring, huh? Just gobs of text and the occasional image of a product like toilet paper or a can of soup. It’s time to add some colour and character. So we’ve decided to create a new ContestCanada mascot. And we want you to help us choose one!

Naturally, we’re going to bribe you for input using a contest! The prize is your choice of a whopping $20, or an autographed copy of my grade 8 English essay “The Hobbit: Fiction… or Fact?!” To enter, help us choose a loveable Canadian mammal. Post a comment below telling us which you like better and you’ll be entered in the contest draw. NOTE: you don’t need to register to comment, but you do need to include a valid email. Your email will not be publicly viewable or shared with any third party.

There are two choices:

  • Earl the squirrel, a rodent that likes to stuff his face and yell at people from a safe distance, or…
  • Rene the raccoon, who likes to creep around at night and eat garbage

The rules: Canadians only! One entry per person. Contest ends on October 6, 2024. Winner will be notified by email. Age limit: 14 or older. The cash prize will be delivered via e-transfer.

Entry Frequency: single

Expires October 6, 2024
